Coty ‘In Talks’ with Kim, Names New Head of Kylie Cosmetics

Coty owns 51% of Kylie Cosmetics - and is now 'in talks' on a new beauty collab with Kim Kardashian West, creator of KKW Beauty.

Forbes’ reporters may have felt duped by Kylie Jenner (over allegations that Jenner denies), but Coty says it is very happy about its ties with the Kardashian Klan — and is ‘in talks’ with Kim Kardashian West to develop new beauty products, the New York Post reports.

Kardashian West is the creator of KKW Beauty.

On June 1st, we reported that Coty named a new CEO, Peter Harf, and yesterday he told the NY Post, “Kris Jenner and I are good friends…I’m very proud that the Jenner family is working with us and [that we] have access to them and to all other people who are big key opinion leaders on social media.”

Kylie Cosmetics Has a New Leader To Accelerate Growth

Coty has named Simona Cattaneo, President of Luxury Brands as the head of Kylie Cosmetics, leading its expansion. Cattaneo replaces Christoph Honnefelder.

Coty states that under Cattaneo’s leadership, the Luxury teams are focusing on reinforcing growth in fragrances as well as accelerating and diversifying its makeup and skincare categories.

Prior to this role, Cattaneo served as Chief Marketing Officer for Coty Luxury since July 2016. She has a significant track record in beauty and cosmetics, and has held several positions at Christian Dior Parfums and L’Oréal. She joined Coty in 2015 and is based in Paris.
